Management Team

Chief Executive Officer & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Galitz is a founding member of Woundtech and currently resides as both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer of the company. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of wound management and has the unique distinction of being both a licensed physician and Board-Certified Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgeon. Dr. Galitz is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons. He served on the faculty of the Department of Medicine at the Temple University School of Podiatry.
Chief Operating Officer
Aqil serves as Woundtech’s Chief Operating Officer and joined the company in 2017. Prior to joining Woundtech, he served as CEO of the Medical Diagnostic Imaging Group, where under his leadership, it became the 28th largest radiology company nationwide. Aqil is a member of the Academy of Healthcare Executives, Radiology Business Management Association and the Young Presidents’ Organization. He has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and tech industries. He has a B.B.A. from the University of Houston and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
National Vice President Clinical Operations
Dr. Liu serves as the National Vice President of Clinical Operations, developing wound care technology and wound-care management processes. Dr. Liu, an infectious diseases physician, has had a long-standing interest in wound care, improving clinical care procedures and healing rates. Dr. Liu has a B.S. in Biology from MIT and an M.D. and Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from UCLA. He did his internal medicine residency at University of Washington and infectious diseases fellowship at Stanford University.
Alexandra Helfan
Vice President Operations
As the Vice President of Operations at Woundtech, Alex oversees and streamlines all internal operations, budgeting and the implementation of new protocols to promote efficiency and standardization. Prior to Woundtech, she was Vice President and General Manager of Sleep and Pharmacy at Pacific Pulmonary Services, and Senior Director of Strategic Marketing at Davita Healthcare. Alex has an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.A.S. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Peter Levine
Associate General Counsel
As Associate General Counsel, Peter oversees all contract negotiations, compliance, labor law issues and the implementation of new internal policies and procedures. Prior to joining the Woundtech team, he served as Senior Regional Counsel for Mednax and Corporate Counsel for Tyco’s eastern region of security products division. Peter has a B.S. in Management from the University of Florida and a Law degree from Hofstra University.
Bob Maluso
Senior Vice President Business Development
As Senior Vice President of Business Development, Bob oversees Woundtech’s nationwide business development, concentrating on expanding into new markets and developing new contracts with healthcare providers. Prior to joining Woundtech, he was the Chief Revenue Officer at Vatica Health, where he developed a sales team to execute a national sales and marketing strategy. Bob has a B.S. in Pharmacy from Ohio State University, an A.N.P. from Butler University, and an M.B.A. from Marylhurst University.
Daniel  Gaines
Vice President Product Development & Technology
Dan serves as the Vice President of Product Development and Technology at Woundtech and in this role, he manages software product development, product strategy, and research and development. Prior to joining Woundtech, he was the Vice President of Product Management at both Lavu and Carevive Systems. Dan is an alum of Hofstra University, where he received a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Mathematics.
Jeff Cornellier
Regional Vice President Business Development
Jeff serves as the Regional Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for Woundtech’s eastern markets. He manages strategy, client partnerships, patient engagement, new markets, and revenue growth. Prior to joining Woundtech, Jeff was a Senior Director and Account Executive at HMS/Eliza, and the Director of Strategic Accounts at HealthSparq. He has a BS degree from Southern New Hampshire University and an AA from Plymouth State University. Jeff was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Airforce.
