Woundtech, a national provider of advanced wound care solutions, today announced that Mohammed Sow has joined its leadership team as the new Vice President of Finance. Sow joins Woundtech from Pyramid Healthcare where he served as the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Before that, he was at Blackford Dental Management Holdings where he was the Director of Finance. Sow brings an extensive background in analysis, planning, mergers and acquisitions, and systems implementation to Woundtech’s finance team.
“We are very happy to welcome Mohammed to Woundtech. His expertise in finance will help our company to continue to grow,” said Aqil Chishty, Woundtech’s Chief Operating Officer. “He will undoubtedly make an immediate impact and I look forward to working with him.”
“I was drawn to Woundtech because of its innovative approach to patient care,” said Sow. “I’m proud to join a company in a growth phase and where I could leverage my experience. I look forward to elevating the finance team and focus on delivering actionable business intelligence and insights. Above all, I look forward to improving margins, and providing visibility into the future.”
Sow will lead Woundtech’s finance and accounting operations across its national markets. During his tenure, he will focus on improving processes, procedures, and revising controls to better deliver on Woundtech’s objectives. Sow joins Woundtech during a time when the wound-care provider is expanding into new markets and launching new technology.
“Mohammed has the skills and the drive to take Woundtech to the next phase of our expansion plan,” said Woundtech CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Galitz. “Most importantly, he will be key in helping us meet our corporate objectives in the coming year.”
Before coming to Woundtech, Sow managed financial planning for ABM Industries and Westwoodone Inc. in New York. He received his BA in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Potsdam and his MBA at Hult International Business School, Cambridge, MA.
